Oatlands Care Centre, established in 2011, has developed into the facility of choice for the in-patient treatment of anxiety, depression, stress and other mood disorders. We are a small and personal facility where you are treated like a person, not a number.
Oatlands is situated in Howick, not far from Pietermaritzburg, in the Midlands of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Our 20 bed facility is registered with the Department of Health and BHF and we are members of the National Hospital Network (NHN). This means that your medical aid should be able to authorise treatment to our facility.
We are situated adjacent to the Lenmed Private Hospital Howick and specialist Doctor’s rooms meaning that you have the best of KZN’s medical professionals right on your doorstep.
Our holistic approach to recovery includes individual psychotherapy, group therapy, stress reduction techniques, narrative therapy, occupational therapy, resilience groups and psych-education.
Please Note: Oatlands is not a rehab or addiction centre. People should not come to Oatlands if they are withdrawing from substances. Detoxification requires time and sometimes medical attention that Oatlands is not equipped to provide. After 'detox' admission may be possible - but if addiction is the primary issue, a rehab facility would be appropriate for effective treatment.
